Honda has cut the price of its 2024 base-spec CR-V VTI X+ by $2800, with the mid-sized SUV now available from $41,900 drive-away.

To entice potential customers, Honda is also adding five free scheduled services and a $2500 finance deposit contribution for customers using Honda’s financing program.

Additional interstate delivery and government fees could apply if a buyer “chooses a specific vehicle with a specific colour and grade or an accessory that has to be delivered from another State or Territory”.

Eligible customers wanting to take advantage of the $2500 finance contribution must have their applications submitted and approved by 31 January, 2025.

According to the latest VFACTS new car sales data, the CR-V is the best-selling model for the Japanese marque, recording 5090 sales leading up to the end of November 2024, outselling its ZR-V twin (3815) and HR-V sibling (3092) at the same time.

From January to November 2024, the Honda CR-V was outpaced in terms of sales volume when compared to new incomers like the BYD Atto 3 (5523), the GWM Haval H6 (8242), as well as other key rivals like the chart-topping Toyota RAV4 (53,599), Mazda CX-5 (21,327) and Kia Sportage (19,997).

Honda offers a five-year/unlimited km warranty for private buyers, while commercial customers will be restricted to a five-year/140,000km warranty coverage.
