Don’t call it a sale, but Tesla will give you a $2000 or $3000 bonus if you buy a vehicle equipped with Full Self Driving (Supervised) before the end of March.

Tesla has introduced purchase incentives on the Model 3 and Model Y in Australia as its version of a model-year clearance.

Although not framed as such, Tesla is offering what it calls a ‘trade-in bonus’ of $2000 on eligible Model Y SUVs or $3000 on the Model 3 sedan.

The bonus applies to new and demonstrator vehicles in Tesla’s inventory, equipped with the brand’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) driver-assist software.

The sales offer is in place until March 31st, 2026.

The offer appears to have limited scope, however, with a search of Tesla’s current inventory at the time of writing returning a “No Tesla fits all of your search criteria” message when browsing FSD-equipped demonstrator vehicles.

New, non-demo vehicles in stock equipped with FSD are more readily available.

Unlike traditional automakers, rather than requiring a vehicle to be equipped from factory with all available features, the FSD package can be purchased outright for $10,100 or available as a subscription service for $149 per month.

Tesla is also allowing owners of current Enhanced Autopilot or Full Self-Driving (Supervised)-equipped vehicles to transfer the driver assist tech to their new car without incurring additional costs, although doing so strips the current car of access to the systems, reverting to standard Autopilot adaptive cruise control.

The trade-in bonuses available on Model Y and Model 3 provide an additional discount of $2000 on eligible Model Ys or $3000 on Model 3s, calculated as an additional discount after an agreed valuation on a trade-in vehicle.

The bonus is available as either a discount calculated off a new vehicle’s purchase price, or as a post-purchase cash-back payment for cars fully financed through a loan or novated lease.

Although Tesla’s Australian website homepage indicates that vehicles must be equipped with FSD to be eligible for the additional bonus, the terms and conditions for the bonus offer make no mention of FSD as part of the bonus offer.

Full terms, conditions, and eligibility criteria are available from Tesla Stores and interested buyers are encouraged to seek clarification of any available incentives or offers before committing to a contract.

The current offers apply to vehicles purchased and delivered between January 1st and March 31st, 2026, but do not apply to fleet, business, and rental buyers.
