Toyota HiLux accessories revealed with interactive website and augmented reality app

Between four body styles, two drivelines, five trim grades, up to seven colours and even the choice between manual and automatic transmissions, there are already dozens of ways you can specify a 2026 Toyota HiLux.

However a new online configurator allows you to get even more personal by fitting a range of genuine Toyota accessories.

The tool, incorporated within the Toyota website, allows you to see what the range of bullbars, trays, canopies and other accessories look like on your vehicle.

It’s an expansive range too, with five different bullbars, numerous protective elements and a selection of racks and towing equipment to help customise the ute.

To make things easier, Toyota has provided four preset ‘packs’ that bundle commonly selected items together.

The Adventure Pack includes a premium steel bulbar with side rails, side steps, a snorkel, LED light bar and front recovery hooks. The Rural Pack includes a towing kit, seven pin wiring harness and a commercial-grade bulbar with an LED light bar.

The Protection Pack bundles a bonnet protector, headlamp covers and weather shields, where the Urban Pack pairs the towing kit with a seven-pin trailer wiring harness, LED light bar and front nudge bar.

Packs can also be grouped with individual accessories to help buyers set up the car in the best way for their needs.

For a bit of added fun, there is a mobile phone app that allows you to see what your customised Toyota will look like in your driveway, with the help of augmented reality 3D graphics.

The updated HiLux arrived in market in December 2025 and with Toyota's light commercial ute (both generations) reporting 51,297 units sold for the year, it was Australia’s third-best-selling vehicle overall for 2025.

It is worth noting that the addition of accessories can add significant incremental weight to the car (a bulbar weighs upward of 60kg), so we always recommend visiting a public weighbridge once your car is accessorised so that you can understand its actual running mass, which aids with towing and load calculations.
