Australia’s most popular medium SUV, the Toyota RAV4, is set to go on sale in Australia soon but before it lands locally, you may want to check out what Australia misses out on.

It’s not unusual for Japanese companies to launch a much wider range of accessories for cars in their domestic market, and the 2026 Toyota RAV4 is no exception.

Information on the Toyota Japan website reveals three distinct accessories packages for the new RAV4, ranging from mild to wild.

The ‘Z Life Style’ package comes from Toyota’s Modellista styling branch and gives the RAV4 an aero-optimised look with a body-coloured front bumper lip, side sill extensions, rear bumper spats, a mesh grille that replaces the standard flat hammerhead panel, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

The result is a peak ‘90s tuner culture look for versions of the RAV4 equipped with the same bumpers as the GX, GXL, XSE, and Cruiser trim levels in Australia.

Those looking for a more adventure-driven upgrade can opt for one of two choices, that pair with the body styling offered on the RAV4 Outdoor in Japan, the styling equivalent of Australia’s RAV4 Edge.

The more tame of the two options is the ‘Outdoor’ package, which adds a new grille with integrated LED lighting, a lower bumper garnish with LED lighting up front, and a new bummer insert for the rear, a front guard faux-vent garnish, and a gloss black bonnet protector.

While the Outdoor package is relatively subtle, the ‘JAOS Style” accessory package is anything but.

The range of available options includes a closed-off upper grille with orange marker lights, front bumper corner guards with LED lighting, wider wheel arch flares with ‘bolt on’ detailing, chunky side sill extensions, a D-pillar black-out applique, mudflaps in black or red, and a metallic rear bumper garnish.

The JAOS catalogue also includes a set of 17-inch rally-style alloy wheels and Toyo Open Country all-terrain tyres in a beefy 245/65 R17 fitment, replacing the standard 235/60 R18 road tyres.

The bad news for Australian customers, however, is that just like other Modellista and JAOS kits sold by Toyota Japan, the current versions won't be making their way to Australia.

Instead, the local accessory range will be limited to items like roof racks and carriers, tow bars, bonnet and headlight protectors, floor mats, seat covers, and weather shields.
