2026 Audi S3 sedan and A3 Sportback TFSI 110kW

The 2026 Audi A3 line-up has expanded in Australia with the return of the 2.0-litre turbo AWD variant.

Previously called 40 TFSI, the A3 TFSI quattro 150kW S line will be offered from $62,800 before on-road costs, $8000 more than the entry-level 1.5-litre grade.

Available in Sportback (hatch) or Sedan, the all-wheel-drive A3 TFSI quattro 150kW S line adds a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine matched to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

2026 Audi A3 Sportback TFSI 110kW

Power has increased from 140kW to 150kW for the latest model, while torque remains at 320Nm, for a claimed 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.3 seconds.

Above the existing TFSI 110kW – formerly 35 TFSI – the 150kW also adds grey 18-inch alloy wheels, auto-dimming and power-folding side mirrors, selectable drive modes, S line leather upholstery, colour ambient lighting, an electric passenger seat, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

The 2.0-litre turbo AWD powertrain was not offered when the facelifted A3 launched in Australia earlier this year for Model Year 2025 (MY25), but it is now available in the MY26 line-up, which receives additional specification changes.

2026 Audi A3 Sportback TFSI 110kW

For MY26, all A3 grades receive traffic sign recognition, an updated autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system with intersection detection, and an improved automated parking system which now controls the acceleration, braking and gear changes.

Available options for the A3 TFSI quattro 150kW include the $1990 Premium Plus package, which adds side mirror memory functionality, a head-up display, and a 15-speaker, 680-watt Sonos 3D audio system.

To the end of September, the Audi A3 is the best-selling premium small car with 1547 examples reported as sold, ahead of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class (1472) and BMW 1 Series (1340) – however BMW is the better seller when including the 2 Series Gran Coupe (1878 total).

The 2026 Audi A3 TFSI quattro 150kW S line hatch and sedan are on sale now, ahead of Australian arrivals towards the end of the year.
