The fault could cause fuel to leak, potentially resulting in a vehicle fire, according to the recall notice.
LDV Australia has recalled 8643 examples of its 2019 to 2023 LDV Deliver 9, citing a potential fault with the van's low-pressure fuel delivery line.
The affected vehicles are stamped 2019 to 2023 models, but may have been sold at a later date.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications, Sport and the Arts, says: "Due to a manufacturing defect, the low-pressure fuel delivery line may not meet specifications.
"As a result, it may deteriorate allowing fuel to potentially leak resulting in loss of motive power whilst driving, and in the presence of an external ignition source may result in a vehicle fire.
"A loss of motive power and/or vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders and/or damage to property.
The current recall supersedes a previous recall for 11,962 examples of the 2021 to 2023 LDV Deliver 9 for the same fault, which was issued in November 2024.
A full list of vehicle identification numbers for the 8643 vehicles involved in the recall can be found here.
Ateco Automotive, the distributor of LDV vehicles in Australia, said owners of affected vehicles "should contact their local authorised LDV dealer to make an appointment to have the vehicle inspected and if necessary fuel line replaced, free of charge".
Owners can contact LDV Australia by calling 1800 716 894.
