The fault could cause the electric performance car's side airbags not to deploy as intended in a collision, according to the recall notice.

Porsche Cars Australia has recalled six examples of its 2024 to 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT, citing a potential fault with the electric performance sedan's side airbags.
The affected vehicles are stamped 2024 to 2025 models, but may have been sold at a later date.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "Due to a manufacturing issue, the wiring harness under the front seats may not have been positioned according to specifications.
"As a result, it may become damaged over time and affect the deployment of the seat side airbags.
"In the event of an accident, a seat side airbag not deploying as intended could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants."
A full list of vehicle identification numbers for the six vehicles involved in the recall can be found here.
Porsche Cars Australia advises it will contact the owners of affected vehicles in writing, asking them to schedule an appointment with their dealership to have the wiring harness inspected and rectified, free of charge.
Owners can contact Porsche Cars Australia by emailing [email protected] or by calling 1800 711 911.
