The Mazda CX-60 now starts from around $50,000 before on-road costs – $10,500 less than before – with a new base variant, and tweaks to its suspension and transmission amid customer criticism.

Mazda has shaved up to $10,560 from its CX-60 luxury SUV with the introduction of a new entry-level variant – and price cuts for existing grades.
The 2025 Mazda CX-60 will start from $50,240 before on-road costs in a new G40e Pure turbocharged inline-six petrol grade – equivalent to a non-turbo four-cylinder CX-5 G25 GT SP – for a $10,560 price cut.
Prices have been slashed between $7560 and $5560 across the rest of the CX-60 line-up to better align it with its stretched, seven-seat CX-80 sibling, which now costs around $5000 more than an equivalent CX-60 across the board.
The latest tweaks to its suspension include softer rear springs, firmer shock absorber settings – with increased rear rebound damping and front compression damping – and recalibrated stability systems "to improve overall handling and comfort balance".
Mazda has drawn on learnings from the CX-80, with Kohei Shibata, program manager of the CX-60 and CX-80, acknowledging the company focused "too much" on handling over ride comfort when it launched the CX-60.
The 2025 CX-60 also receives revisions to its Mazda-developed eight-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission, with "clutch control improvements" for a "smoother and more responsible" transition between the internal-combustion engine and electric motor and a wider gear range.
While its entry price is $10,560 less than before, the G40e Pure is only $3000 cheaper with Mazda's national drive-away offers, as the 2025 G40e Pure is available for $53,990 drive-away in most states – or $54,990 in Western Australia – compared to $56,990 for a 2024 G40e Evolve.
The CX-60 G40e Pure will be the only variant offered at a nationwide drive-away price at launch, with current drive-away offers for the Evolve and GT expiring for the updated model.
Several features have been deleted from the CX-60 Pure compared to the Evolve – which continues with more standard equipment at $7560 less than before – including 'Maztex' synthetic leather and suede seat upholstery, with black cloth instead.
The Pure also lacks the Evolve's electric tailgate, 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone charger, and padded dashboard and door panels.
In addition, Mazda has added the mid-spec Touring to the CX-60 line-up to replace the outgoing Evolve fitted with the $4000 Luxury Package, at $6560 less than before.
Mazda no longer offers any option packages for the Evolve, with the $2000 Vision Technology package now fitted as standard and the Luxury Package spun off into the separate Touring grade.
New features for the Evolve include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for all models, a see-through view for its 360-degree camera, Cruising and Traffic Support traffic jam assist, a driver monitoring camera, and front cross-traffic alert – all previously included in the Vision Technology package.
The Vision Technology package is also now standard in the GT, including adaptive LED headlights.
The G40e Evolve starts from $55,240 – down $7560 when including the old Vision Technology pack – while the GT is $6560 less than before at $64,240, and the Azami is $5560 more affordable at $68,440.
Diesel and plug-in hybrid CX-60 variants have received the same price cuts as their equivalent petrol versions.
All CX-60 models are available to order in the Zircon Sand metallic finish for 2025, joining existing white, silver, grey, beige, red, blue and black finishes.
The 2025 Mazda CX-60 is on sale now, ahead of first customer deliveries due to commence in June.
