BMW has cut prices of the iX1 and iX2 by up to $8900, just weeks after announcing a technical update, amid hotter competition in the electric-car market.

The iX1 xDrive30 is now priced from $77,900 plus on-road costs, down $8900, while the iX2 xDrive30 is $79,900 plus on-road costs, down $7700.

Alongside the price cuts, BMW is introducing a Sport Collection version of the iX1 xDrive30, priced from $79,900 drive-away – about $5000 less than the regular version.

Powering all models are two electric motors for all-wheel drive and combined outputs of 230kW and 494Nm, fed by a 66.5kWh battery pack delivering WLTP driving range ratings of 514km in the iX1 and 512km in the iX2.

The 2026 update has added silicon-carbide inverters for improved performance and range.

Standard features in the Sport Collection edition include the M Sport package, 19-inch M alloy wheels, adaptive suspension, black Veganza leather-look upholstery, heated front seats, a head-up display, and a 360-degree camera.

The 2026 BMW iX1 and iX2 are available to order now.
