Australian pricing and specification details for the GAC Aion UT electric hatchback have been confirmed – including a special drive-away offer for the first 600 customer orders.
Australia's newest car brand, GAC, has expanded its line-up with the Aion UT electric hatchback.
Priced from $31,990 before on-road costs, the 2026 GAC Aion UT is a rival to the BYD Dolphin, MG 4 Urban and GWM Ora, and is the brand's second electric car following the Aion V medium SUV available since GAC launched in Australia in late 2025.
It will be offered in two grades – Premium and Luxury – with a 60kWh battery, a 150kW/210Nm front electric motor, and a 430-kilometre WLTP driving range rating.
Until 9 April, 2026, the first 600 customers who order the Aion UT will receive discounted drive-away pricing, at $30,990 for the Premium and $35,990 for the Luxury, along with a 10-amp portable charger and 22-kilowatt wall charger.
Prospective customers who test-drive any GAC model in Australia between 12 March 2026 and 9 April 2026 will also automatically be entered into the draw to win one of two Aion UTs, the brand said.
Standard features in the Premium include 17-inch alloy wheels, a 14.6-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, six speakers, and FM/DAB+ radio – but not AM radio.
It is also fitted with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, surround-view cameras, climate control air-conditioning with rear air vents, and a full suite of active safety features.
ANCAP and Euro NCAP have yet to assess the GAC Aion UT, though the brand says it has been "designed to meet European safety standards".
Stepping up to the Luxury adds a wireless smartphone charger, a glass roof, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, an electric tailgate, power-folding side mirrors, and a ventilated driver's seat – but not the passenger seat.
GAC's electric cars, including the Aion UT, are covered by an eight-year/unlimited-kilometre vehicle warranty and an eight-year/200,000-kilometre high-voltage battery warranty, plus five years of roadside assistance when the vehicle is exclusively serviced by the brand.
The 2026 GAC Aion UT electric hatchback is on sale now, with Australian customer deliveries set to commence between April and June.
