Kia is fleshing out the model range of its maiden ute with a series of cab-chassis grades, joining the tub-backed pick-up already in showrooms.
The final variants of the 2026 Kia Tasman ute are now available to order, with the confirmation of prices of single-cab chassis and dual-cab chassis grades to join the dual-cab pick-up in showrooms now.
It lowers the price of entry into the Tasman range to $38,010 plus on-road costs for the single-cab S 4x2, compared to $37,130 for an equivalent Ford Ranger, and $36,700 for a comparable Isuzu D-Max 3.0-litre.
Dual-cab-chassis versions are $1750 cheaper than equivalent dual-cab pick-ups, with the single-cab a further $3230 less expensive. An extra-cab Tasman is not available internationally.
Cab-chassis prices before on-road costs exclude a tray, which must be fitted to allow the vehicle to be registered, prices for which – through the Kia Genuine Accessories catalogue – are yet to be announced.
Buyers can choose from general-purpose alloy, heavy-duty alloy and heavy-duty steel trays, offered in a number of colours, and available with further accessories, including under-tray drawers, a tool box, and water tank.
Showroom arrivals of the dual-cab chassis models are due this month – after the commencement of dual-cab pick-up deliveries about a month ago – while the single-cabs are due in "late 2025," Kia says.
The single-cab body style is available in S 4x2, S 4x4 and SX 4x4 forms, while the dual-cab chassis is sold in S and SX trims, paired with standard four-wheel drive.
Drive-away prices for the cab-chassis variants are marked as "to be confirmed".
All models share the Tasman pick-up's 154kW/440Nm 2.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Standard features in the Tasman S include 17-inch steel wheels, dual 12.3-inch interior displays, dual-zone climate control, cloth seats, keyless entry and start, and a suite of advanced safety features.
SX grades add 17-inch alloys, satellite navigation, assisted highway lane changes, power-folding side mirrors, and other extras.
