 Updated electric car $7500 cheaper

The top-of-the-range 2026 Skoda Enyaq RS electric SUV will receive a $7500 price cut with the updated model, when showroom arrivals commence in the coming months.

The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive Enyaq RS will now start from $75,490 plus on-road costs in regular-shape 'SUV' form – new for 2026 – and $76,490 plus on-roads in Skoda's sleeker Coupe body style.

The Coupe price is $7500 cheaper than the outgoing version, despite updated styling and a slightly longer range from a larger battery pack.

It is not quite as affordable as the hefty discounts offered on the outgoing RS to clear stock – which dropped its price to $66,990 drive-away – but it is now closer to the Tesla Model Y Long Range ($68,900 plus on-roads) and related Volkswagen ID.5 GTX ($72,990 plus on-roads).

Powering the Enyaq RS are dual electric motors producing a quoted 250kW and 545Nm combined, for zero to 100km/h acceleration in a claimed 5.4 seconds.

New for 2026 is a 79kWh usable-capacity nickel-manganese-cobalt battery, up from 77kWh previously, for a driving range rating in European WLTP testing of 534km in the Coupe (up from 530km), and 523km in the regular SUV.

DC fast charging power has increased from a claimed 175kW to 185kW, for a 10 to 80 per cent recharge in as little as 26 minutes, down from 28 minutes.

The facelifted Enyaq RS gains a new front fascia with Skoda's latest 'Tech Deck' face – a black trim insert with illumination – plus new-design 21-inch 'Vision' wheels.

The other new feature for 2026 is ventilation for the front seats, which retain heating, power adjustment, and part-leather, part-synthetic upholstery with RS branding. A full list of features is below.

The 2026 Skoda Enyaq RS is available to order now, with vehicles now in production ahead of showroom arrivals in the coming months.

It is due to be followed closely by the smaller but similarly-powered Elroq RS, due in production between April and June, ahead of customer deliveries to commence by October. Prices are yet to be announced.
