The 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross small SUV will be $960 dearer than current models when it arrives in Australia later this year.

Details first announced in a dealer bulletin – and now confirmed by Toyota Australia – reveal it will start from $37,440 before on-road costs for the front-wheel-drive GX hybrid and top out at $50,990 for the all-wheel-drive Atmos and GR Sport hybrid grades.

As the new-for-2026 GR Sport costs the same as the Atmos, but adds several unique features such as larger 19-inch alloy wheels, it is expected not to be as well equipped as the Atmos.

A Toyota Australia spokesperson told Drive more details on the facelifted Corolla Cross will be confirmed later this week, ahead of first deliveries of the GX and Atmos in the coming months.

GXL and GR Sport grades will arrive in local showrooms at a later date than the GX and Atmos due to certification delays for Australia, the brand added.

"We will be confirming final details via press release later this week," the spokesperson said.

"We can confirm the GXL & GR Sport grades will be launching later this year as we finalise local certification."

As Drive revealed earlier this week, all Corolla Cross grades will receive wireless Android Auto support, cleaner R1234yf air-conditioning refrigerant, and a low-speed pedestrian warning sound, along with a refreshed exterior design.

The GX will add low-speed autonomous emergency braking (AEB) in forward and reverse – previously GXL and above – while the GXL will gain a wireless smartphone charger, heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, and an upgraded 360-degree camera with a see-through view.

Ventilated front seats, a revised 18-inch alloy wheel design, and centre console illumination will be added to Atmos grades.

Last month, Toyota Australia confirmed it would launch the Corolla Cross GR Sport, which will be exclusively offered in all-wheel drive.

Compared to other variants, the GR Sport includes a unique front bumper, larger 19-inch alloy wheels, lowered sports suspension, a different power-steering tune, and a Sport drive mode.
