The Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series has received its first update three years after it launched, with new technology but no styling revisions.

The 2025 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series has arrived in Australia with new technology and more standard equipment.
Toyota has increased pricing for the LandCruiser 300 Series between $999 to $2029 over the previous model, with the GXL receiving the largest price rise.
The entry-level LandCruiser 300 GX now starts from $97,990 before on-road costs – $999 more than before – while the line-up tops out with the $146,910 Sahara ZX, $1119 more than before.
New equipment for the GX includes an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen running new software – down from nine inches – with connected satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air updates.
It also gains a seven-inch digital instrument cluster – replacing a 4.2-inch multi-information display with analogue gauges – a power-adjustable steering wheel column, LED cabin lighting, and guidelines for its reversing camera.
Safety upgrades include lane-centring assist, emergency steering assist, and an emergency driving stop system as standard across the range, while the GXL gains safe exit warning and low-speed reverse autonomous emergency braking (AEB).
Toyota Connected Services – which is standard across the LandCruiser 300 line-up – has moved to a shorter 12-month complimentary period, down from three years, but it has gained new connected-car services, including remotely controlling its air-conditioning from the myToyota phone app.
The GXL adds four-zone climate control, a cooled centre console, "suede-like" fabric upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support, and a 40/20/40 split-folding second-row with a fold-down armrest.
VX grades and above receive a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while the existing 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen runs on "latest-generation" software.
Variants with the 12.3-inch touchscreen receive the same climate control panel as the GX and GXL with more physical controls, in place of the on-screen controls found in earlier versions.
However, the existing row of physical buttons for the infotainment system has been deleted for touch controls, except buttons for the volume and power, which are now directly below the touchscreen.
A HDMI port has been added to the VX, Sahara, GR Sport and Sahara ZX to play multimedia content when the vehicle is stationery, while the CD/DVD player has been deleted.
The VX also gains eight-way front passenger seat adjustment and an electric tailgate, which were previously limited to the Sahara and above.
There are no specification changes for the Sahara and Sahara ZX beyond the addition of the new infotainment software and digital instruments, while the GR Sport gains a puddle lamp for its tailgate to improve low-light visibility.
Toyota Australia has deleted the Saturn Blue metallic paint colour from the LandCruiser 300 Series line-up, with nine finishes remaining available to order.
All LandCruiser 300 variants continue to feature a 227kW/700Nm 3.3-litre twin-turbo diesel V6 engine matched to a 10-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system.
Braked towing capacity is listed at 3500 kilograms, while it has a 110-litre fuel tank (80L main tank and 30L sub-tank) and combined fuel consumption is rated at 8.9L/100km.
The 2025 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series is in showrooms now.
