The electric SUV has been updated overseas with a June launch, but when the new Audi Q4 e-tron arrives in Australia is still unknown.

Audi has updated the Q4 e-tron electric SUV with a new interior, updated infotainment, and an improved driving range less than 18 months after arriving in Australia.
The Q4 e-tron launched in Australia in February last year, but it has now been facelifted in Europe, where it has been on sale for close to five years, and is the oldest electric car left in the Audi range.
Audi Australia is yet to reveal when the refreshed all-electric family SUV will arrive in local showrooms, but has committed to bringing the updated EV here.
A more efficient electric motor has increased the driving range rating in the Q4 Sportback e-tron Performance to a best-in-line-up 592km based on European WLTP testing, with an 82kWh gross-capacity battery and 210kW/545Nm rear motor.
Opting for the SUV body style trims the range rating to 578km, while the all-wheel-drive 220kW quattro variant quotes 558-573km, and the 250kW quattro Performance claims 541-554km WLTP, all with the 82kWh battery.
There is also an entry-level variant with a 150kW/350Nm rear electric motor, which claims 440km of WLTP range in the regular-shape SUV, and 451km in the Sportback.
In Australia, the 82kWh battery is currently the only choice, and delivers up to 520km of WLTP in the Q4 Sportback e-tron 45, with a 210kW/545Nm electric powertrain.
DC fast charging in the quattro Performance flagship has been bumped from 175kW to 185kW, which can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 per cent capacity in approximately 27 minutes.
It is rated to allow 185 kilometres of range to be added in as little as 10 minutes.
Among the other changes to the updated Q4 e-tron is support for bi-directional charging, allowing it to power external devices at up to 2.3kW on a 230-volt home power socket in the boot or an optional side charging port adaptor, or up to 3.6kW on a camping power socket.
The 2026 Q4 e-tron can also be used as a home battery thanks to vehicle-to-home (V2H) functionality, but so far, the feature is only confirmed in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Inside is an all-new cabin, with a panoramic display featuring an 11-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen.
There is also an optional 12-inch customisable passenger display with Audi Assistant functionality available via voice command.
On the outside, the updated Q4 e-tron gains updated digital LED daytime running lights with switchable signatures. The rear lights are the brand's second-generation OLED units with vehicle proximity detection.
Key safety technology in the new Audi Q4 e-tron includes lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, driver attention and fatigue monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking (AEB).
Prices are yet to be confirmed for Australia, but the current model ranges from $84,900 to $99,900 plus on-road costs.
