Chevrolet Silverado Black Pack and Terrain Pack launched

GMSV has launched two new option packs for the Chevrolet Silverado, with the Terrain Pack and Black Pack joined by an expanded range of accessories available to Australian buyers of the Ford F-150, Toyota Tundra and RAM 1500/2500 rival.

The Silverado 1500 ZR2 Terrain Pack is priced at $4192 (plus fitting and GST) and brings Rocker Protectors, weathershields, sports bar and soft tonneau cover, finished off with black ‘Chevrolet’ tailgate lettering.

The lettering is also part of the Silverado 1500 LTZ Premium Black Pack, priced at $3032 plus GST before fitting.

As the name suggests, it takes the black treatment further leading with a black Chevrolet bow-tie badge – instead of the usual gold – with a black lettering kit, black Z71 graphics, weathershields and 20-inch high-gloss alloy wheels.

The parts making up both packages are all available as individual accessories, with a new range of individual genuine accessories expanded to tempt buyers away from aftermarket choices.

"We know that so many of our customers personalise their Silverado, and the launch of these dealer-fitted accessory packs will give them even more choice, while at the same time simplifying the process,” GM Australia and New Zealand managing director, Jess Bala, said in a statement.

The new genuine accessories list includes smaller items such as tie-downs, cargo nets and centre console organiser, through to features like the key-fob operated electric rolling tonneau cover, sports bar, chrome round side-steps and genuine tow hitch.

There’s also a swing-out tool box and trailer camera in the catalogue, while the 1500 LTZ Premium can be fitted with one of three heavy duty tonneau covers, including a soft cover, tri-fold aluminium cover, or a hard roll-up aluminium cover.

The Silverado is currently the best-selling large dual-cab ute sold in Australia, remanufactured for right-hand drive locally by the Walkinshaw Group in a recently expanded Melbourne facility where RAM and Toyota Tundra models undergo similar processes for local sale.
