Australian billionaire Adrian Portelli is expanding his controversial LMCT+ rewards platform empire to include petrol stations, offering cheaper fuel prices for his business's subscribers.
The property investor – also known as ‘Lambo’ guy on social media – has made a name for himself in recent years, with the 36-year-old Melburnian famously buying numerous properties featured on The Block television series.
While the billionaire is known for his extravagant lifestyle and giveaways, Portelli is looking to expand his LMCT+ brand to include petrol stations in Australia.
The first LMCT+ service station is currently in development, taking over from a Shell site on the corner of Gower Street and Plenty Road in Preston, a northern suburb approximately 10km from Melbourne’s CBD.
According to the business's Instagram post, the decision to launch its own petrol station stemmed from the lack of cheaper petrol alternatives for its members.
“The big players in the petrol game don’t want to give you guys discounted fuel, so Adrian’s gone out and bought his own to give members a whopping fuel discount,” the LMCT+ post read.
Portelli said the business venture is about serving the general public, but did say it's his customers that will benefit the most.
"If you’re part of LMCT+, you’re going to feel the difference when you pull up to the pump. This is all about turning membership into something people actually use in their everyday life," Portelli told Drive.
The property investor didn't say how much estimated savings members would get at his new petrol station, only that he is "obsessed with seeing just how far he can push fuel prices down" for its members.
"Don't be surprised if you drive past one day and see something crazy at the pump like Unleaded for 99c. We're hear to shake things up."
Pricing data from Petrol Spy has shown that it currently offers one of the lowest prices for unleaded at 189.90 c/L in Preston – approximately 10 to 20c cheaper than other franchises like BP and AMPOL.
The company said it will open more petrol stations across Australia from 2027, though Portelli remained tight lipped on where exactly he's thinking about expanding his new service stations.
"Preston is the first step and we're already speaking with dozens of sites nationally. This is about building a network that puts members first and challenges the way fuel pricing has worked for years.
"Fuel is one of the biggest weekly expenses Australians have, so if we can give our members a genuine win at the bowser, we’re going to do it. This is just the beginning," he said.
LMCT+ has been under scrutiny by Australian gambling authorities in recent years due to its subscription-based prize draw program, which ranges from $19.99 to $99.99 per month.
While it advertises itself as a “rewards” club – where members can receive discounts from numerous stores for a monthly fee – LMCT+ offers ‘free’ entries into its giveaways, which in the past, have included luxury cars, expensive houses and large sums of cash.
However, the business has also offered one-off bundles for its prize draws, allowing members to purchase additional raffle entries for a set price.
Portelli and his company, Xclusive Tech Pty Ltd, are currently facing 19 charges in South Australia for allegedly holding 10 seperate lotteries between 2023 and 2025 without the appropriate licence. The 36-year-old pleaded not guilty in August 2025.
