Mazda's first model on new-generation architecture, the CX-60, has been deeply discounted with buyers able to save nearly $10,000 on certain variants.

Mazda Australia is running promotional pricing on select variants of its 2024 CX-60 family SUV, cutting nearly $10,000 from the drive-away price after launching the model 18 months ago.
The CX-60 Evolve petrol can now be had at $56,990 drive-away, representing an approximate $8820 saving in Victoria when compared to the recommended retail price of $60,550 before on-road costs.
Similarly, the diesel version is $58,990, while the plug-in hybrid powertrain is positioned at $70,040, cutting about $8900 and $9270 respectively from the drive-away price.
Savings can also be had on the mid-tier CX-60 GT, which is $64,990, $66,990, and $78,040 for the petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) versions respectively.
This means buyers can save $9160, $9244 and $9606 on each CX-60 GT engine respectively.
There are no special offers on the top-spec CX-60 Azami, which is priced at $73,750 before on-road costs for the petrol, $75,750 for the diesel, and $86,800 for the PHEV.
As a reminder, the CX-60 petrol and diesel make use of 3.3-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder engines, the former producing 209kW/450Nm and the latter with 187kW/550Nm.
The PHEV meanwhile, teams a 2.5-litre petrol four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 241kW/500Nm.
And with a 17.8kWh battery in play, it's rated for an all-electric driving range of 76 kilometres before needing a recharge.
Regardless of engine choice, each CX-60 sends drive to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Equipment highlights in the entry-level Evolve includes 18-inch wheels, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, dual-zone climate control, a wireless smartphone charger, push-button start, a powered tailgate, a surround-view monitor, front and rear parking sensors, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and a head-up display.
Stepping up to the GT adds 20-inch wheels, black exterior highlights, body-coloured wheel-arch cladding, a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, power-adjustable front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
