MG Australia has discounted several big-selling models for September, with the MG 3 and ZS range cut $2000 via a cashback offer, and some versions of the HS moving to reduced drive-away pricing.

While not all MG 3 variants are listed on MG Australia’s website at the time of writing, the brand has confirmed the $2000 offer is applicable to “the MG 3 range, including both petrol and Hybrid+ models”.

This will take the most affordable MG 3 hatchback, the petrol-powered Vibe, to $21,522 drive-away in Victoria, according to current pricing on the brand’s website – making it the cheapest the base variant has been since launching earlier this year at a limited-time $21,990 price.

Similarly, Excite and Essence grades of the MG 3 would be, with a $2000 discount applied, $23,606 and $25,690 respectively in Victoria, based on pricing on MG’s website – both more expensive than the $22,888 and $24,990 the grades were priced at the end of the last financial year.

All petrol versions of the MG 3 are powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 81kW/142Nm outputs, paired to a continuously variable transmission that drives the front wheels.

While the petrol grades are not listed on MG’s website with a $2000 cashback offer, the hybrid versions of the MG 3 are, coming down to $26,990 and $29,990 for the Excite and Essence respectively.

This places both grades about $1000 less expensive than the end-of-financial-year (EOFY) deal offered by MG earlier this year.

Hybrid versions of the MG 3 team a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor for a claimed combined output of 155kW.

All versions of the ZS small SUV are listed on MG’s website with the $2000 cashback deal, bringing pricing to as low as $23,990 for the petrol-powered Excite.

At the top of the ZS tree sits the Hybrid+ Essence, now $32,990.

MG specifically states the cashback deal is only available at participating dealerships, and applicable to vehicles purchased and delivered between September 1, 2025 and September 30, 2025.

Meanwhile, the two grades of HS family SUV equipped with a 125kW/275Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine – the mid-spec Excite and top-spec Essence – have moved to drive-away pricing that MG states “will see motorists save up to $4000 on the purchase price” depending on state.

The MG HS Excite is now $35,990 and the Essence is $39,990 – the former $2000 less than MG’s EOFY dealer and the latter matching that offer from earlier this year.

Other drive-away deals this month include the MG4 Excite 51kW for $37,990 and the updated MG5 Essence for $32,990 – both figures MG has previously priced these models.
