Mitsubishi has cut $5000 from its cheapest model in Australia – the European-sourced ASX city SUV – amid declining sales.

The 2026 Mitsubishi ASX LS entry grade is currently being offered for $34,990 drive-away in Australia, down from its previous $39,990 drive-away offer – and less than its $37,740 before on-road costs RRP.

The offer, currently valid until 31 May 2026 unless extended, follows an 88.6 per cent sales decline for the ASX year-to-date, and a 25.5 per cent decline for the Mitsubishi brand compared with the same time last year.

It is unclear whether a similar deal is being offered for the $42,690 before on-road costs ASX Aspire and $46,490 ASX Exceed, as the brand's website omits drive-away pricing for these grades, instead directing buyers to consult their local dealership.

Elsewhere in its range, Mitsubishi Australia is offering fuel cards for 2025 run-out versions of its better-selling Outlander and Triton models, or three years of complimentary servicing for selected new 2026 grades.

The bonuses for the Outlander and Triton are combined with national drive-away offers across Model Years 2025 (MY25) and 2026 (MY26) examples.

For the Outlander, a $2000 fuel card is available for the remaining MY25 stock, excluding the ES five-seat in front- and all-wheel-drive, with the brand noting "low stock" for the ES seven-seat FWD grade.

The brand is also offering a $2000 fuel card for certain MY25 Triton grades still in dealer stock, including the GLX-R, GLX-R Special Edition, GLS, GSR and GSR Special Edition dual-cab pick-up 4x4 automatics.

"[The] Fuel Card is redeemed at point of sale, the value of the Fuel Card may be substituted for a discount off the Recommended Drive Away price, negotiated at time of purchase," a note on Mitsubishi Australia's website reads.

MY26 Outlander examples, excluding all ES grades, and MY26 Triton dual-cab pick-up 4x4 automatic examples, excluding the GLX and the Raider, receive three years or 45,000 kilometres of complimentary dealer servicing.

The capped-price services, required every 12 months or 15,000 kilometres, are valued at $1077 for the Outlander and $1467 for the Triton over the three-year/45,000-kilometre period.

Drive-away deals for new MY26 examples include the Outlander Black Edition FWD for $47,490 – compared with its $45,490 before on-road costs RRP – and Triton dual-cab pick-up 4x4 models, which are currently priced below their usual RRPs.

Until 30 June 2026, the Triton GLX is offered for $46,990 drive-away ($51,640 RRP), GLX+ for $49,490 ($53,990 RRP), GLX-R for $52,990 ($57,440 RRP), GLS for $57,490 ($60,140 RRP), and GSR for $63,490 ($65,590 RRP).

A $10,000 cash bonus remains available for run-out MY24 examples of the Outlander PHEV Exceed and Exceed Tourer to clear remaining dealer stock, along with drive-away deals for the Eclipse Cross PHEV, also in run-out.

Remaining stock of the Pajero Sport off-road SUV, which ended production for the Australian market early last year, is now limited to GLS and Exceed grades, according to Mitsubishi Australia's website.

Mitsubishi Australia's line-up will be bolstered in the coming months with the reborn 2027 Pajero – which will be Triton-based, like the Pajero Sport – along with a battery-electric small hatchback or SUV set to be built in Taiwan by contract manufacturer Foxtron.
