2023 – 2025 Renault Kangoo recalled in Australia

Renault has recalled 445 examples of its 2023 - 2025 Kangoo, citing a potential fault with the cover on the vehicle's rear swing door.

The affected vehicles are stamped 2023 to 2025 models, but may have been sold at a later date.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "On certain vehicles, the cover on the rear swing door in the loading bay are missing, resulting in door strikers being exposed to occupants.

"If the vehicle occupant is unaware of the uncovered door striker plate, it may increase the risk of injury when entering or exiting the vehicle."

A full list of vehicle identification numbers for the 445 vehicles involved in the recall can be found here.

Renault advises that owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by RVDA, asking them to contact their nearest authorised dealership to have the work carried out free of charge.

Owners can contact the Renault by phone on 1800 009 008, emailing [email protected] or visiting the Renault website.
