2024-2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E recalled in Australia over headlight fault

Ford has recalled 166 examples of its 2024-2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E, citing a potential fault with the Light Emitting Diode (LED) Driver Control Module (LDCM).

The affected vehicles are stamped 2024-2025, but may have been sold at a later date.

The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: "Due to a potential fault in the Light Emitting Diode (LED) Driver Control Module (LDCM) this module may fail. As a result, high beam, low beam, position lamps and daytime running lamps may not operate as intended.

"Lighting features not operating as intended may reduce the driver’s visibility. Additionally, other road users may be unable to identify the vehicle in dark conditions increasing the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users."

A full list of vehicle identification numbers for the 166 vehicles involved in the recall can be found here.

Ford advises that owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Ford Motor Company Australia asking them to schedule an appointment with their local dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.

Owners can contact Ford Australia by calling 133 673.
