All up very happy with the 2025 Tank 300 Ultra Diesel, and under $55k I don't think you could do better.

Ultra annoying lane assist that you have to turn off every time you start, cruise control that stays a mile back from the car in front and slams on the brakes if something gets in the gap. Very intrusive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Lots of bings and bongs that you will have no idea what it’s complaining about.

Great value for money, ride is good, default tyres are good for on-road and not cheap ones. Fuel economy is not as good as listed, but still very good for a box driving on the motorway.

Had the wagon for 3 months now.

Improvements would be to allow the driver to turn off the emergency lane-keeping permanently if they wish, throttle sensitivity at start/low speed and auto gearbox tuned better.

The diesel powertrain is smooth and well-calibrated. Love the fact they didn't just place a 2L in petrol version and call it a day, the 2.4L 480Nm is great for towing most stuff. Not a small guy standing at 6ft8in, I fit in the driver's seat and back seat okay which I find very hard to do in a wagon.

Locked diffs front and back are great to see, unlike the soft SUVs that called themselves 4x4's like the Jeep Trailhawk (and yes, I did own one for 4 years, take it anywhere off road and you will require a support team to get you out).

All up very happy with the 2025 Tank 300 Ultra Diesel and with the 7 years warranty and under 55K I don't think you could do better.

Highly praised for its value, premium, well-equipped cabin, and solid off-road capability.

Some reviews talk about a hard ride. I don't think it's that bad, it's what you would expect for an off-roader. Some turbo lag off the mark, but expected for a diesel, GWM could instruct its engineers to recalibrate the turbo system for better instantaneous spool to make the vehicle more responsive.

I understand why they placed the spare on the back, but it just makes it a bit hard to clean around.

Infotainment and connectivity features include a digital instrumentation cluster, infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, native sat nav, DAB+ digital radio, voice control, front and rear seat USB outlets, and on-board telematics which are easy to get around once you’re used to them and the size is great. It’s virtually identical to all the petrol and hybrid variants.

You can open up a dedicated off-road set of displays which are cool to play around with. These use the surround-view camera and have a transparent chassis function, outstanding 360-degree camera and 4x4 to show track and wheel placement.

Nice big tank at 75L that will get you to the next town out in the bush. With my iPhone 14 Pro Max connected wirelessly - just have to get it in the right spot sometimes or move it around a bit to get it charging - but I think that has to do with the phone case.

All up, I would say buy one and you will love it.
