Mini's new-generation Convertible will land in Australian showrooms next year available with three 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engines.
The new-generation 2025 Mini Convertible will arrive in Australian showrooms next year, with the style-first brand reshuffling pricing across the line-up.
Available with a choice of three different outputs, the C, S, and top-spec John Cooper Works (JCW) are all powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that drives the front wheels.
Multiple trims are also available with each powertrain.
The entry-level C produces 120kW/250Nm and is offered in Classic or Favoured trims positioned at $51,990 before on-road costs and $54,990 respectively.
This makes the new point of entry to the drop-top Mini range $990 more expensive than before.
Stepping up to the S, customers score a more potent 150kW/300Nm tune, while a JCW Sport trim is added atop the Classic ($56,990) and Favoured ($59,990) variants at $61,990.
The 2025 Mini Convertible JCW punches out 170kW/380Nm and is offered in Classic and Favoured flavours for $64,990 and $67,990 apiece.
In terms of performance, the C-badged cars are claimed to accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 8.2 seconds, while the S and JCW versions cut that time down to 6.9s and 6.4s respectively.
Standard equipment in the 2025 Mini Convertible line-up includes adaptive cruise control, a six-speaker sound system, front sports seats with heating, a wireless smartphone charger, and a 9.4-inch OLED infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.
Stepping up to the Favoured grades adds a Harman/Kardon 12-speaker sound system, JCW front seats with electronic adjustment, and Union Jack-themed soft top.
For the JCW Sport grade, available exclusively with the S engine, JCW accoutrements are added such as a steering wheel, body kit, adaptive suspension, brakes and stripes, which are also all standard on with the more potent engine.
To justify its higher price point, the JCW Classic also features some features found only in the Favoured versions of the C and S, including the 12-speaker sound system, while performance tyres are added to the JCW Favoured.
The 2025 Mini Convertible will arrive in Australian showrooms in the second quarter (April to June) 2025.
