Zeekr Australia's second model, following the X SUV, is the 009 people mover that is priced high, but loaded with features and technology.
Electric Cars
A new Chinese electric people mover in the form of the 2025 Zeekr 009 is now available to pre-order with a starting price of $135,900 before on-road costs.
That’s for the seven-seater, while the six-seat variant is positioned at $139,900.
This makes the 009 significantly more expensive than other people movers like the Kia Carnival (from $50,150) and LDV Mifa (from $53,990 drive-away), but below the Lexus LM (from $160,272 before on-road costs).
However, differentiating the Zeekr 009 from all aforementioned rivals is its all-electric powertrain, which puts it more in contention against the LDV Mifa 9 (from $104,000), Mercedes-Benz eVito Tourer ($136,898), and Mercedes-Benz EQV ($161,723).
Across both seating configurations, the 2025 Zeekr 009 features dual electric motors (one for each axle) for a combined output of 450kW/693Nm.
This allows for zero-to-100km/h acceleration in a claimed 4.5 seconds, while the 009’s 116kWh battery pack provides a quoted driving range of up to 582km on the WLTP cycle.
To recharge, the 009 can take a maximum 205kW DC fast charge that will recoup from 10-80 per cent of the batter in around 30 minutes, while using an 11kW AC charger will need around 13.5 hours for a 0-100 per cent charge.
Standard features include nappa leather interior, air suspension, a glass roof, power-adjustable front seats, heated, cooled and massaging first and second-row seats, 20-inch wheels, tri-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charger, 30-speaker Yamaha sound system, and an 8.6-litre heated or cooled fridge.
However, Zeerk’s tech-first approach is at the fore thanks to three interior screens and a massive head-up display (HUD), with a 15.05-inch 2.5K OLED infotainment system, a 10.25-inch HD digital instrument cluster, a 17-inch 3K OLED rear entertainment display, and a 35.95-inch augmented reality HUD.
For safety there are seven airbags (including curtain protection for all three rows), adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, door opening warning, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), front and rear cross-traffic alerts, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, a surround-view monitor, and lane keep assist.
Naturally, spending more on the six-seat version of the 009 changes the third row, allowing more room for the rear-most passengers with the seats.
The 2025 Zeekr 009 will arrive in Australian showrooms in soon.
