A Victorian man has been issued a $790 fine after he was caught in the act of urinating on a police car.
According to Victoria Police, local officers were alerted after security staff observed the 27-year-old man urinating on a vehicle at an unspecified carpark along Cooper Street in Epping – a suburb approximately 18km north of Melbourne – on the night of 11 November 2024.
The attending officers, who were patrolling the streets on foot at the time, “interrupted the incident mid-stream” and were “surprised to find that the vehicle in question was their police car.”
The 27-year-old offender was issued a penalty notice “for behaving in a riotous, indecent, offensive and insulting manner”.
