It’s been a busy couple of months for Bad Bunny, with the popstar securing his sixth Grammy Award, and more recently making history by becoming the first Latino musician to headline the NFL Super Bowl.

And while the 32-year-old Puerto Rican has been spotted in numerous luxury cars since his ascension into superstardom, Bad Bunny – formally known as Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio – found out there’s just some things money can’t buy.

According to numerous overseas reports, the Latino megastar traded his 2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport 110 Ans – of which only 20 were ever made – for a common workhorse.

In a February 2026 report by US outlet Car Buzz, Bad Bunny reportedly swapped his circa AUD$4 million Bugatti hypercar... for a 2003 Toyota Corolla.

No, your eyes don’t deceive you. While most regular drivers would salivate at the chance of swapping their normal sedan for a car like a Bugatti Chiron, Bad Bunny said in previous interviews the car was inconvenient due to the spectacle and crowds that gathered every time he drove it.

Bad Bunny bought the car to attend the 2020 Grammy Awards, and was frustrated at the reality of living with such an expensive car in his native country of Puerto Rico.

“Honestly, I don’t know what to do with the damn car, because I brought it to Puerto Rico and it was a nightmare driving it. Now I have it in the United States; I couldn’t keep it here a minute longer because they knew it was me. I get in a 2003 Corolla and I’m happy just driving around,” Bad Bunny told Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia in 2021.

The popular sedan – which is worth about AUD$5000 on today's used car market – was reportedly Bad Bunny’s first car after getting his licence, with Bad Bunny featuring the car in his Yonaguni music video.

Additionally, the limited-edition Bugatti Chiron also featured during Bad Bunny's appearance in WWE – the global wrestling show – where the car was spray-painted with real paint in one segment.

Despite acquiring the AUD$4 million Bugatti hypercar and a Lamborghini Urus – which he claimed was “gathering dust” in his garage – the Latino popstar admitted he wasn’t into cars.

“I’m not a car lover. My friends are crazy about cars, but I’m very different, I’m not a fanatic about those things,” Bad Bunny said in a 2021 interview.

For reference, the 2019 Bugatti Chiron Sport 110 Ans is powered by the brand’s fabled 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 engine that has a claimed output of 1103kW/1600Nm.

As reported by Drive in 2019, Bugatti claims the car can reach 0 to 100km/h in under 2.4 seconds and has a top speed of 420km/h.
