Audi Q6 e-tron electric SUV confirmed in more affordable guise, sneaking under $100,000

Audi has confirmed a new entry-level variant of its newest electric vehicle, to bring the entry point of its Q6 e-tron range below the $100,000 mark. It will arrive in Australia during the third quarter of 2025 (July to September inclusive).

The medium-sized SUV currently starts from $115,000 for the Q6 e-tron Performance variant, making the new variant's $99,900 (before on-road costs) figure some $15,000 more affordable, but it won't not fall beneath the $91,387 luxury car tax (LCT) threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles.

The new variant will keep much of the equipment and features included on the more expensive 'Performance' variant, but fitted with a smaller 83kWh battery (as opposed to 100kWh).

It will be rated to deliver 462km (WLTP) of driving range, and like the existing Performance, use a rear-wheel-drive configuration.

Powering the new entry-level Q6 e-tron will be a 185kW/485Nm electric motor on the rear axle, claimed to deliver a 0-100km/h claim of 7.6 seconds – or 7.0s with overboost which ups power of the electric motor briefly to 215kW.

Like the Performance, the new variant will be fitted with Audi's new 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen and 11.9-inch virtual cockpit digital driver display housed inside a single 'Digital Stage' structure.

An additional 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen, integrated into the dash, is also standard on all Australian-delivered Q6 e-tron models.

It will also benefit from tri-zone climate control, 360-degree cameras, electric front memory seats with heating, a digital 'convenience' key, 19-inch alloy wheels, heated steering wheel, heated outboard rear seats, and a 'full' suite of active safety measures.

The entry-level Q6 e-tron will join the range from Q3 2025, July to September inclusive.
