Nissan selling unused parts from Navara Pro-4X Warrior conversion to customers

Nissan Australia has launched a discounted wheel and tyre package for its Navara ute, with a limited number of items available.

New and existing D23-generation Navara customers from 2014 onwards – excluding narrow-body RX and DX models available until 2020 – can purchase five Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tyres, four black genuine Pro-4X 17-inch alloy wheels, and one 17-inch black steel spare wheel for $849.

The wheels and tyres are from the 2020-on Navara Pro-4X specification and have been stockpiled during the Pro-4X Warrior conversion by Premcar in Melbourne, with the Warrior series moving to larger, wider Cooper Discoverer AT3 tyres and unique 17-inch alloy wheels.

"These wheels/tyres are surplus from the conversion from standard Pro-4X wheels to Pro-4X Warrior. This combination offers not only wider aftermarket value and choice to Navara owners, but also Nissan/Premcar’s efforts to recycle the new parts efficiently in the market," a Nissan Australia spokesperson said.

Nissan says the bundle, which includes dealer fitment for Navara models, equates to a 75 per cent saving over the $3484 total recommended retail price.

An additional cost "may apply" to variants fitted with a tyre pressure monitoring system, including the two- and four-wheel-drive Navara ST-X dual-cab, with owners asked to speak to their local Nissan dealer for a final fitment price.

The bundle is currently included in the cost of a new 2025 Nissan Navara SL four-wheel-drive dual-cab, which is available for $44,990 drive-away compared to its usual $50,728 recommended retail price before on-road costs with 17-inch steel wheels – while the ST-based Black Edition has the Yokohama Geolandar tyres and 17-inch black alloy wheels as standard.

Nissan notes the limited number of wheels and tyres available to Navara customers have travelled "short distances" between the vehicle's Thailand factory and Premcar's engineering facility, and could have "small scuffs or scratches, small stones in the tread or small amounts of dust/dirt on the wheels and/or tyres".

New components fitted to the Pro-4X Warrior – which starts life as a standard Navara Pro-4X – also include retuned suspension, more ground clearance, a wider track, a 100-kilogram gross vehicle mass (GVM) increase, a winch-compatible bullbar with an LED lightbar, underbody bash plates, and a redesigned towbar.

Premcar also builds the Navara SL Warrior dual-cab ute in Melbourne, along with the Nissan Patrol Warrior off-road SUV, which is based on the standard Patrol Ti.
